The policies in this manual are intended to promote a safe sport environment in a manner that allows for consistent, immediate, appropriate and meaningful action should any issues arise, but also to prevent issues from arising by communicating expected standards of behaviour to all participants.
Two key elements of implementing the CKC Safe Sport Policies are training and screening. All PCKC coaches and directors must complete training and background checks, and all volunteers must complete an application form and screening disclosure form. The training and screening requirements, along with copies of the required forms, can be accessed by following the links.
